Hunters have their Abilities, Survivors have their Items, which they can equip pre-game or find in Chests during the game, giving them an edge over the hunter.

1. Toolkit

The Toolkit is the Gardener‘s item that can be used to sabotage Rocket Chairs.

The toolkit can destroy rocket chairs on site.

2. Syringe

The Syringe is the Doctor‘s item that is used to heal the user

The syringe enables the user to heal themselves when wounded.

3.Flashlight

The Flashlight is the Thief‘s item that is used to blind the Hunter. If the Hunter is carrying a Survivor on their shoulder, getting blinded will make them drop that Survivor and be stunned for a few seconds.
The Flashlight is also very effective against the Hunters. Shining a Flashlight upon The Ripper when he is cloaked or in the act of uncloaking will trigger the light burn effect, stunning him for a few seconds and forcing an instant uncloak.The Flashlight last longer if the Thief uses it


A flashlight can incapacitate hunters by shining light on them for a certain amount of time.

4. Map

The Map is the Lawyer‘s item that is used to track and mark props in the World. The map can track Cipher Machines. The Map is not depleted if you play as the Lawyer .

The map can be used to check the location of large buildings, cipher machines not decoded and escape exits. The map displays the location of you and your teammates normally and the hunter’s location when their outline appear. The marks on hand-drawn maps are not exactly accurate and need to be changed frequently.

5.Controller

The Controller is the Mechanic‘s item that is used to control a puppet.If you play as the Mechanic you can control the puppet even if your incapacitated or tied to the rocket chair,but the control will be interrupted if you been rescued .The Controller last longer

A controller can enable command over a puppet. This puppet can be used to decode Cipher Machines and rescue survivors from Rocket Chairs.

6. Elbow Pads

Elbow Pads are the Mercenary‘s item that are used to deflect oneself off of a wall.If you play as the Mercenary the Elbow Pads breaks slower

Elbow pads are used to push off of the surface of a wall. The wall must be highlighted in blue to be used.

7. Flare Gun

The Flare Gun is the Coordinator‘s item that is used to stun the Hunter.If you play as the Coordinator stunning the hunter with the Flare Gun increases the time the hunter needs to recover

The flare gun is used to momentarily stun the Hunter. It can be fired from a medium distance.

8. Gulliver’s Travels

Gulliver’s Travels is the Explorer‘s item that is used to shrink a Survivor and make them very small. They are rendered undetectable by the Hunter’s radar, but cannot drop pallets, open exit gates, or vault windows.Gulliver’s Travles is not depletes if the Explorer uses it

Gulliver’s Travels enables a Survivor to turn into a tiny Lilliputian after reading the travels. Undetectable by the hunter’s radar after shrinking, but cannot perform most actions

9. Holy Key

Holy Key is the Priestess‘s item that is create portals against surfaces that survivors may travel through. This item is exclusive to the Priestess.

10. Lasso

Lasso is the Cowboy‘s item that is used to grab survivors and carry them on his back. Survivors can be grabbed from anywhere the lasso reaches, including from rocket chairs. This item is exclusive to the Cowboy

11. Music Box

The Music Box is the Dancer‘s item that is used to slow down or speed up actions and movement of survivors and hunters within its range. This item is exclusive to the Dancer.

12. Perfume

Perfume is the Perfumer‘s item that is used to spray a cloud of perfume that acts as a teleportation point.The Perfumer can use the Perfume more often

Perfume is sprayed in an area, and can be teleported to at a later time. It will not last for long, however

13. Rugby Ball

The Rugby Ball, or Football, is the Forward‘s item that is used to stun the killer by dashing into them. Knocking them into objects stuns them for longer.

The rugby ball can be used to dash forward. However, the user will be exhausted. If it is used to dash into a Hunter, the Hunter will be stunned. They will be stunned for a longer period of time if they are pushed into an obstacle such as a wall.

14. Wand

The Wand is the Magician‘s item that is used to create illusions in-place and hide yourself for a few seconds.

The wand create an illusion and make the user invisible for several seconds. It will cause Terror Shock if wounded when invisible

Beginner’s Guide (Hunter)

•Objective

In hunter mode, your goal is to prevent the survivor’s escape! To win, you must send more than 2 survivors back to the manor before they escape. This can be done by incapacitating the survivor using your special talents and placing them in a rocket chair. 

•Hunters Rule

Hunters have the objective to capture Survivors by hitting them twice. However, it takes longer for hunters to recover after hitting, compared to the survivors. Hunters however can track Traces that survivors leave behind when running. Downed Survivors can be captured and strapped to Rocket Chairs when found.

Survivors that are caught have to be rescued by other Survivors. Otherwise, they’ll get eliminated. But when the same Survivor are being strapped more than 3 times, he/she will be eliminated automatically.

Game ends when the Final Survivor is strapped onto chair.

•Win

For the Hunter, kill more than 2 survivors (Flawless).

•Tie

For both sides, When any 2 Survivors either Escape or be eliminated.

•Loss

For the Hunter, kill less than 2 survivors (can be Zero kill). Results in defeat.

•Tips

  1. When survivors want hit you with a pallet, stand in front of the pallet and hit. If survivor is putting down the pallet, he will get hit.
  2. Do not waste too much time chasing one survivor. Your job is to prevent them from decoding.
  3. Camp survivors on the rocket chair if they aren’t Mercenary or Coordinator
  1. Bring teleport or blink as a trait.
  2. Look at the cipher machines, they will wiggle when someone decodes them.

Beginner’s Guide (Survivor)

•Objective

In survivor mode, your goal is to evade the hunter and escape the manor! To do so, you must complete the decoding of the required number of cipher machines and open the gate or cellar. This will require cooperation with your teammates and strategic use or their special talents.

•Action

Movement is achieved by tapping icons on the right-hand side of the screen. The first icon is to sprint, which leaves a trail, but is the fastest movement. The second icon is to walk, which doesn’t leave a trail. The last icon is to crouch, which doesn’t leave a trail either, but is the slowest movement.

•Cipher machines

Survivors have to crack all Cipher Machines that can be located by looking for antenna, or, outlined in blue for Hunters. While cracking Cipher Machine, sometimes Calibration may be triggered, and screen has to be tapped at the right time to continue cracking. Miss the Calibration and the Decoding Machine will backfire, alerting the Hunter.

Cracking Cipher Machines will activate the Electrical Switch, which will be highlight. Entering the Password into the switch then allows the Exit Gate to be opened so Survivors can escape. Final survivor attracts more crows, which gives away their location.

•Interactions

Survivors have fear levels that can be notes by purple Heartbeats or intense soundtrack. The visible and hard-sounding Heartbeat indicates that the Hunter is nearby.

Incapacitated survivors are denoted with a red outline and can be healed.

Windowsills can be jumped over by any group, but Hunters has slower movements.

Survivors can use Pallet Boards to block, (when lucky) stun Hunters, and leverage as Windows tills but Hunters can Crush it when nearby.

Survivors can use Tools from Toolboxes that can be located with turquoise outline.

Survivors can hide in Closets to blend in environments.

Survivors can create windows on breakable walls. These walls get a blue inner glow when you look at them.

•Win

For the Survivors, more than 2 survivors escape (Escaped).

•Tie

For both sides, When any 2 Survivors either Escape or be eliminated.

•Loss

For the Survivors, being unable to escape from the Area.

•Tips

  1. Use the correct words: Avoid equipping the expressive words like “thank you” and “sorry” instead of equip informative words like “The exit gate is open”, “The dungeon is here”, “The Hunter is here hurry”. the informative words are of greater utility for your companions and you will increase the possibility of survival.
  2. Analyze the terrain: This means that you must memorize where are the dungeons, the chests, the safest areas of the map to escape the hunter, the machines, the exit door, among others.Learn how to kite the hunter, which is evading him and backtracking to the cipher machine he may have chased you from.

Orpheus and the Manor

In the northern part of Europe, there is a Winston manor that has become notorious for the villagers around because of the unknown rumors of previous generations. The villagers around the village were not willing to get close to the manor, but they bought it at a low price. They were famous at the time. The artist bought this manor and also saw the beautiful natural scenery and quiet environment around it. After their stay, they made a large-scale renovation of the manor. In-Game

Orpheus is the progressive character and starting character of the Identity V story. The player assumes this position throughout the story and can unlock various costumes, pets, and beats that affect gameplay. Orpheus assumes the roles of the Survivors and can delve into their background and advance in the story. All cosmetics on Orpheus carry over to the survivors in the game.

Background

Orpheus was once a famous crime novelist, but after being rescued from a fire about 10 years ago, he lost all his memories. His body recovered, but his memories never returned. Unable to do anything about his memory, Orpheus accepted his new lifestyle and founded his own detective agency. However, he received no good cases and turned back to drinking. Orpheus would awaken the next day to find cuts all over his body, with objects that he never would’ve touched normally. Even after Orpheus stopped drinking, days would mysteriously get skipped over with increasing frequency. He eventually found the source of his problem from the looks from his neighbors: he didn’t lose track of the days at all, but instead, another persona awakened inside him, his old self.

Survivors Gameplay

Survivors can move in three differents ways: running, walking and crawling. Every survivor have an item (with exception of Lucky Guy) and can open chests in the map to obtain another one, but they can carry only 1 item. The survivors can decode the Cipher Machines, vaulting windows, drop the pallets and vault them. A survivor can drop and stun the Hunter with the pallet. Survivors can heal damaged and incapicitated survivors and save survivors who are trapped on Rocket Chairs or in Soul Weaver‘s cocoon web. However, survivors need to decode regularly. If a survivor stays a certain time without decoding, crowls will appear above it and your location will be show for the hunter.

When the Hunter is close to the survivor, the survivor’s hear start to beat faster. The closest the hunter are, faster and stronger will be the heartbeat. Survivor will be damaged if get hit by the Hunter 1 time and will be incapacitated if get hit by the Hunter 2 times or if it receives a Terror Shock, a double damage that happens when the Hunter hits the survivors while he is interacting with someting, like: healing other survivors, decoding cipher machines and vaulting pallets and windows. When put in a rocket chair, survivor can be saved by other survivors, but it’ll be sent back to the manor if the cooldown ends or if have been placed in a Rocket Chair three times.

Survivor can interact with some Hunter’s ability, like dismantling Hell Ember‘s puppets, staring Geisha to stop her dash, dismantle Feaster‘s tentacles, enter in Photographer‘s Camera World and using the Mad Eyes‘s machine.

Violent Struggle

In the Pack Hunter mode, there are 8 survivors against 2 hunters. In this mode, survivors can carry 2 itens, getting them by the chests or by telephones through the map, and need 3 hits to be incapacitated.
